Current and potential ratings
An EPC uses an A-to-G scale and shows both the current rating and a potential rating based on modelled improvements. The figures are standardised estimates, which helps comparison between homes but does not predict an individual household’s exact bills.
Recommendations are a starting point
Recommendations indicate measures that may improve energy performance. Before significant work, confirm suitability, permissions, cost and unintended consequences with appropriately qualified people. The EPC itself is not a detailed retrofit design.
